Welcome graphic

Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.

As a daughter-in-law of David and Marlene Fenton, I was inspired to do this research for them. Knowing who our ancestors are and how they lived are important in defining who we are. Most of this information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!

This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.

Please get in touch and let me know what you think of my site.

Genealogy begins as an interest,
     Becomes a hobby;
          Continues as an avocation,
               Takes over as an obsession,
                    And, in its last stages
                         Is an incurrable disease!

If.....
If you could see your ancestors, all standing in a row,
Would you be proud of them, or don't you really know?
Strange discoveries are made, in climbing family trees,
And some of them, you know, might not particularly please.
There might be some of them, you wouldn't care to know
But here is another question, that requires a different view,
If you could meet your ancestors, what would they think of YOU?

Thank-you to all family members who submitted information concerning their immediate families.
A special thanks goes to Grandma Fenton for her valuable memories.
Cyndi's List.com and MyTrees.com have been especially helpful in researching our family roots.

Susan Melancon assisted me in developing this web site for our family.
