Kathryn Gayle Jones was born in 1961 to Kenneth Jackson Jones and Barbara Ann Breeden at Fort McClellan
Hospital in Anniston, AL. Barbara is the daughter of Dale Hubert and Ethel Bruner Breeden.
Dale was the son of Claude Earl and Nellie Roberts Breeden.
Dale and Ethel married in 1937. Ethel was the daughter of Edward Ernest and Maude Anderson
Bruner. Ethel was born on Jul 07, 1919 and died on Feb 18, 1997.
Kathryn's parents divorced when she was young and her mother moved her to Louisville, KY. Barbara
married John Benjamin Jessee in 1967. John and Barbara had Kathryn's last name changed to Jessee so that questions would
not be asked about the two families joining. Kathryn was raised by John and Barbara Jessee. For all purposes,
John Jessee has been her father.
Kathryn graduated from Faith Temple Schools in 1979. She attended Tennessee Temple University
in Chattanooga, TN. Her Bachelor of Religious Education was obtained from Faith Temple College.
Kathryn taught kindergarten at Northside Christian School. Later, she taught 4th grade at Faith
Temple Schools. She also taught 2nd grade at Faith Temple Schools.
Kathryn married James Earl Smith in 1981. James is the son of James Hebert and Judith Ann Sewell
Smith. James was born in 1961.
James and Kathryn had 3 children; James Erik, John Derek, and Jaclyn Denyse Smith.
James and Kathryn divorced in 1991.
Kathryn then married John Lester Fenton in 1991. In 1999, John adopted her 3 children and their
last name was officially changed to Fenton.
Because of health issues, Kathryn began searching for her biological father in 1997. With the
help of her brother, Charles, she was able to locate Kenneth. They met for the first time in 32 years to celebrate Kathryn's
36th birthday.
Claude Earl Breeden was born on Dec 08, 1893 and died on Apr 26, 1974.
Nellie Roberts Breeden was born on May 28, 1894 and died on Jan 17, 1945.
Edward Ernest Bruner was born on Mar 13, 1887 and died on Dec 27, 1963.
