How we all got here...
John Fenton was born in 1819.  He served in the military during the Civil War between 1861 and 1863.  He enlisted for the Union in Massachusetts as a Private on Aug 08, 1861 at the age of 42.  He was in Company E, 20th Infantry Regiment.  He received a disability discharge from Co.E in Massachusetts on May 22, 1862.  He re-enlisted in Massachusetts on Aug 13, 1862 with Co.E, 20th Infantry Regiment.  He was wounded on Dec 13, 1862 in Fredricksburg, VA.  He was discharged in Massachusetts because of these wounds on Mar 18, 1863.
John married Mary Ann Fenton and had 3 children: David R., Emma, and Mary EllenMary Ann and Mary Ellen died during child birth in 1878.
John married again and had 2 more children: Bob and Jim.
John married a third time and had 3 more children: Phil, Fred, and George.
David R. Fenton was born in 1850.  He served in the military during the Civil War between 1861 and 1865.  He enlisted in KY for the Union on Oct 01, 1861, as a Private in Co. B, 4th Cavalry Regiment.  He was promoted to full Corporal.  He mustered out of Co. B, 4th Cavalry Regiment on Aug 21, 1865, in Macon, GA.
David R. married Catherine Deacon Fenton (Kate) in 1871.  He had 2 children: David Spencer and Vinnie ReamCatherine died in 1887.
David R. married Dyellen Greenwell in 1888 in Bardstown, KY.
He had 2 more children: John Mathew Coleman and Fred Eugene.
John Mathew Coleman Fenton was born in 1889.  He married Mary Lee Carpenter in  1913.  He had 3 children: John Mathew, Jr.-died in 1914, John Robert (Jack) born in 1916 and died in 1932, and Lee Joseph-born in 1918.
Mary Lee had complications from influenza and died 3 days after giving birth to Lee Joseph in 1918.
Mary Lee's sister, Daisy Josephine Carpenter helped John Mathew tend to the children.  He then married Daisy in 1919.
John Mathew had 2 more children: Russell Eugene and Dorothy Louise.
Lee Joseph Fenton married Dorothy Mae Ragsdale in 1938.
He had 4 children: David Lee-born in 1939, Deloris Irene (Cookie)-born in 1941,Carole Elizabeth-born in 1947, and Norma Gail-born in 1955.
David Lee married Marlene Elizabeth Stilger in 1959.  He had 3 children: John Lester-born in 1960, June Elizabeth-born in 1963, and Joseph Lee-born in 1964.
John Lester married Robin Lee Maxam in 1982.  He had 2 children: Bridget Marie-born in 1983, and Michael Lee-born in 1984.  John divorced Robin in 1986.
John Lester married Kathryn Gayle Smith in 1991.  He adopted her 3 children: James Erik-born in 1982, John Derek-born in 1984, and Jaclyn Denyse-born in 1985.
Bridget Marie Fenton gave birth to Justin Michael Fenton in 2001.
